Theme: Effective Teaching across Cultures
There are few skills more important to the missionary then being able to communicate across cultures. This is even more true when it comes to theological education and training pastors. This year our ITE Summit theme focuses on teaching effectively across cultures with keynote presentations from Dr. Craig Ott, an expert in cross-cultural teaching.
The keynote addresses will focus on various challenges in cross cultural teaching like learning to adapt our own teaching methods for culture, teaching students with different cognitive styles, teaching for worldview change, navigating interpersonal relationships and culture expectations, and alternative instructional methods beyond lectures.
