Santiago Christian Academy

Chile

Santiago Christian Academy (SCA) is a private Christian school, founded by ABWE in 1968 with the goal of providing a Christ-centered, English education of high standards for the missionary families of ABWE who are located in Santiago, Chile.

In the initial years, the parents themselves were the teachers. In 1971, with the arrival of two licensed school teachers, the academy became better equipped to expand its services to other English speaking families living in Santiago. For many years, the school provided an education for students in 1st-8th grades. In the early 1980s, the education was extended to include secondary school as needed. The first high school senior graduated in 1985.

Today, SCA includes students from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Santiago Christian Academy is under the direct control of the ABWE Chile Field Council. At its annual meeting, the field council appoints a school board. The School Board is responsible for establishing school policy and for the direction, program, and operation of the school.

As faculty and facilities permit, entrance is also open to the children of other evangelical missionaries and the non-missionary Christian community who meet the language and nationality admission requirements.
