The Hospital of Hope in Mango, Togo

Togo

ABWE began ministering in Togo in the 1970s After several years of ministry in the southern regions of Togo a team of doctors was burdened to reach into the northern region where the needs are great both physically and spiritually. The Hospital of Hope began seeing patients in March of 2015. The 30,000 square foot facility includes 65 inpatient beds and serves patients from Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Niger, Nigeria and other West African countries.

HoH offers an outpatient clinic with 11 consultation rooms including OB, surgery and medicine. In addition the clinic is equipped with a dental room for use when dentists are available. The hospital is also equipped with digital x-ray imaging, ultrasound, a full pharmacy, full laboratory, a neo-natal intensive care unit, 3 isolation rooms, infectious wards, and 4 large operating rooms. More than 140 Togolese make up the hospital staff, as well as 40+ Expats from the US, Canada, France and New Zealand who desire to show God’s love and care to those living in this dry corner of West Africa.

The Hospital of Hope is committed to meeting patients’ physical, emotional and spiritual needs. A team of trained chaplains prays with patients and counsels families facing difficulties. They follow up with patients in villages and develop disciples through chronological Bible studies. Thousands are given the opportunity to experience the love of Jesus and hear the Word of God through the digital resources the Hospital of Hope offers its patients both in the hospital and in follow up efforts. The medical team utilizes medicine in connecting and establishing open doors in order for our chaplains and missionaries to reach patients in their greatest times of need. Every day, patients arrive seeking quality medical care. They are welcomed and shown love through excellent facilities, a great staff and personalized care.
