Grace Toti Projects

South Africa

Grace Baptist Church of Amanzimtoti, released by ABWE in 2008, continues to expand its “GEN2 Ministry Group,” a multifaceted network of ministries focused on reaching the Zulu people, South Africa’s largest language group, with the gospel and with the sound teaching of Scripture.

With an overemphasis on mysticism, Zulu churches have either embraced the errors of the Prosperity Gospel or blended ancestor worship (interacting with the dead) with regular church doctrine and practices. But God is now giving the Zulu a great hunger for the sound doctrine that comes from giving God’s Word the place it deserves.

The exciting and extraordinary GEN2 Ministry Group combines the experience and gifts of South African pastors, lay leaders and American missionaries from four mission agencies working together to get the gospel into rural communities and public schools, to support church-planting efforts in rural and township communities, to train church leaders, teachers and counselors in an accredited Bible college, to translate the MacArthur Study Bible into Zulu, and to provide biblical counseling for broken lives.
