The Gambia Ministries

The Gambia

In keeping with the traditions of a traditionally oral society, ABWE has been using a radio broadcast of chronological Bible teaching in a local language to share the gospel far beyond the actual missionary presence.

As cell phones have become common, the ABWE team also distributes micro-SD cards containing Bible teaching, songs, and videos in a variety of local languages. Thousands of people hear the radio broadcast 3 days a week and the missionaries receive requests for the teachings on memory cards multiple times a week. The memory cards have been taken to surrounding countries such as Senegal and Mauritania as people take them to their families in those places.

As other opportunities arise, these funds grant us the freedom to move forward.
