What if I told you that in some places, governments decide your taxes, religion, and social status by your ethnicity

At a church gathering in Asia, a tall man with thick, black hair sat quietly in the pew. The regular church members eyed him suspiciously, as they walked past. Is it legal for him to be here?

Being racially mixed, Muhammed's features were confusing. This church let him stay. But a few weeks ago, another church had decided it wasn't safe.

The churches fear ran deeper than superficial, racial prejudice. The government stated that members of a certain ethnic group must follow Islam. Churches who evangelized to them were disbanded and pastors were thrown in prison.

A couple months earlier, while attending a nearby university, a group of short-term missionaries shared the gospel with him. It was the first time he'd ever heard it, but he knew it was true.

As Muhammed grew in his faith, learning from smuggled Bibles and online articles, he felt God calling him to live bravely, like Christ. So, he decided to tell his family about his new faith.

The news sent his mother into a spiral. She spent weeks hunger-fasting, desperately praying for her son to recant.

But God blessed Muhammed's steadfastness, turning a tragic family situation into one of hope. Recently, Muhammed's father agreed to learn more about the gospel.

The danger isn't over for Muhammed. Most churches don't accept him because of his ethnic background and those who do preach messages approved by the government. He is isolated and alone in a dangerous country, surrounded by false teachings and pagan worship.

That's why we're mobilizing a new team to target this unreached people group and build more supporting local church communities for people like Muhammed.

Did you know you can change people’s lives just like Muhammed?

As a member of an unreached people group, Muhammed wasn’t the only one among his countrymen who had never heard the gospel. In parts of South Asia, missionaries are often faced with threats, kidnappings, internment, or death for openly evangelizing to certain people groups.

Every day ABWE missionaries are providing medical care, translating the Bible, and sharing the gospel with the lost. Your gift to the Global Gospel Fund supports all 1,000 ABWE missionaries with vital training and support as they take the gospel to the ends of the earth.

Time is short. Eternity matters. And your support makes an eternal difference.
