Jack (MD) and Sandy (RN) have been career missionaries with ABWE for over 40 years.  For the first 16 years they worked with a team to start the Amazon Baptist Hospital along the Amazon River in Brazil, where they raised their four children. Through the hospital ministry, they engaged in evangelism and church planning in the river communities. 

Returning to the USA due to health issues, they started the ministry of taking teams around the world to do medical evangelism with simple clinics in local churches. The national leaders and members of these local congregations then disciple the new believers. Dr. Jack continues to lead these teams through the International Healthcare Ministries Department of ABWE, going to Central America, South America, Africa, Eastern Europe, and South Asia.
