Andrea Clark

United Kingdom

After studying choral music education at Ball State University, Andrea felt the Lord calling her into full-time ministry.  She served as office manager at a Bible camp in northwestern Ontario for 4 years following university, then joined ABWE to serve in Latin America.

After serving with various church planters in Nicaragua for 4 years, she felt the Lord turning her lifelong dream to live in Scotland into a calling to share the light of the Gospel with the lost people of this beautiful but spiritually dark country.

She then moved to the northeast of England for 3 years to partner with another ABWE couple serving there, before the Lord finally opened the door for her to minister in the southwest of Scotland.

Andrea enjoys music (singing, as she is unfortunately too lazy to actually practice enough to get good at anything other than the tambourine), reading (she actually wrote a novel during lockdown, you can find it on Amazon, Grace Alone), running (well, the adrenaline rush that comes after running, and the calories burned so that she can eat more chocolate) and walking (there are many paths to explore in the UK.

She has hiked the West Highland Way and the Great Glen Way).  She also enjoys baking (well, eating baked goods.  And sharing them with others.  Her love language is cookies).

Ministry In Scotland

Andrea is working with a small church plant in Kilmarnock, Scotland.  She has partnered with Ayrshire Bible Church to assist with children's ministries (Sunday school, outreach programs, Mums & Tots group, etc.) as well as ladies' ministries (Bible studies, evangelism and discipleship).

She also looks for ways to connect with the people in the area through community choir, a Scottish country dancing group, running clubs, walking groups and other various avenues.

Passion For The People

Although Scotland has a rich history of strong Christian leaders, it is thoroughly "post-modern" now.  Most Scottish people have very little to do with church or God. This is evident in the fact that many churches in Scotland are closing, and being turned into housing, or pubs, or bingo halls, or being torn down and destroyed.

In fact, a recent survey done by an independent Evangelical group here in the UK found that there is one evangelical church for every 17,000 Scottish people.  There is a huge need for revival in this country that once was a shining light for the Gospel.

However, the Lord is still at work.  Ayrshire Bible Church is seeking to share the love of God and the hope of the Gospel with the lost people here in Kilmarnock.

Located in the very center of the city, the Lord has provided a building from which people can be invited to Connect at the Cross.  Here, they can find hope and peace and love that the world cannot offer, and forgiveness and reconciliation with their Heavenly Father.

How To Get Involved

Please be praying for the Lord to be working in hearts, drawing people to Himself, and that He would use Ayrshire Bible Church to speak truth to those who are seeking.
