Web Developer

The role focuses mostly on front-end design and development, but the developer will also work on the back-end platform when needed.

Job Summary/Primary Role: The Web Developer will work with the ABWE Software Team to create new software offerings, extend, and maintain current software platforms, and continually evolve software offerings to maximize productivity for the ABWE family of ministries. The Web Developer will work as a member of the Software Team and will have responsibilities for independent assignments as well as collaborative projects, working with other team members as well as other departments within the ABWE global family of ministries.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Design and develop front-end applications, dashboards, and other modules for users to access to data.
• Refactor current front-end modules to increase usability and enhance user experience.
• Perform thorough testing (unit, system, etc.) to ensure the highest quality results with developed modules.
• Develop back-end applications as assigned and skillset allows.
• Assist with designs of front-end modules for multiple platforms across the mission.
• Collaborate with team members to provide input into designs, architecture, and systems planning.
• Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure designs and applications meet requirements and perform optimally across the mission.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications: Ability to pass background check and all necessary clearances as mandated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in information systems, computer science or related field, required.

Required Skills:
• 2+ years web development experience required
• Proven proficiency in the following technologies: CSS, HTML, and JavaScript
• Proven proficiency frontend frameworks/libraries such as Angular, React, or Vue.js
• Experience in user interface design for web applications

Preferred Prior Experience:
• Proficiency in SQL and .NET a plus
• Experience with the ROCK RMS platform
• Experience converting designs into rapid prototypes and eventually final products

Travel Expectation: Pre-arranged meetings at ABWE IHQ in New Cumberland, PA (if remote).
