Dates needed
August 16-25, 2019
The Position

On this trip, we will be doing simple clinics in churches as medical evangelism

Team Members Needed

  • 4 to 5 team members total
  • At least 2 doctors
  • At least 1 nurse
  • Other team members do not need to be medical professionals

Trip Description

Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa one of the poorest nations in the world. Our medical team will be working with a national pastor near the city of Kampala.

A key component of each clinic is taking patient histories, which is done in partnership with bilingual nationals. This time of conversation with patients often gives us an opportunity to share the gospel. At the end of each day, we take time to debrief and pray for the next day’s activities.

Ministry Support Funds: $1,000/per participant

Ministry support funds cover all local travel, accommodations, meals and supplies used throughout the trip. A predetermined amount of $100, to reserve placement, is submitted when assigned to a team. The balance is submitted 45 days prior to departure. Funds may be submitted by the team participant or by others on their behalf.

Participants are responsible for purchasing your own airfare. Information will be provided to each team member by the team leader to ensure that your ticket can be coordinated so the entire team arrives on the same flight. Comprehensive details to prepare for this trip will be communicated by the team leader once you are assigned to the team. (Approximate cost $2000 - $2200.)

The Need

Uganda has suffered more than 40 years of war and spiritual devastation. Islam is growing, and many other Ugandans profess to be Christian but have fallen for false teachers claiming to offer salvation through health, wealth, and prosperity. The people of Uganda are in desperate need for the healing and hope of Jesus Christ.

ABWE missionaries are preparing to open this opportunity-filled mission field by combining church planting with medical outreach, youth ministry, and discipleship. Will you join us as we seek to root the next generation of Ugandan church leaders in the word of God?

The Impact

Use your medical skills on the mission field to heal people physically and spiritually. In our nearly 90 years of ministry, we have seen compassionate medical care soften hearts to hear the message of the gospel, changing lives for today and eternity. But we can't do this without you.
