The Position

Many Ukrainians would never darken the door of an evangelical church, but compassionate healthcare can open their hearts to the hope of Jesus Christ. Dentists, ophthalmologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, and nurses are needed to serve on 1-2 week trips alongside translators, to minister to the nearly 50 million Ukrainians who live in villages with minimal access to healthcare.

The Need

Ukraine’s strategic location and volatile civil climate have uniquely prepared it to receive the gospel. Located between Europe and Asia, Ukraine has become a launching pad for missionaries to Eurasia and Central Asia, including countries like Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan where there is little to no religious freedom.

Ukraine, on the other hand, has experienced far greater religious liberties over the past 20 years, allowing for the cultivation of church-planting and, more recently, missions movements.

The opportunities to be a part of sending the gospel throughout the world by ministering in Ukraine are vast. Will you join our team?

The Impact

Use your medical skills on the mission field to heal people physically and spiritually. In our nearly 100 years of ministry, we have seen compassionate medical care soften hearts to hear the message of the gospel, changing lives for today and eternity. But we can't do this without you.

Due to COVID-19, travel requirements for trips originating from the US vary by location. To learn more, contact us at go@abwe.org. We’d love to talk to you!
