Disciple-maker

Japan

The Position

Five couples are needed in the Kanto Region. Full-time disciple-makers lead the way in making contacts and building relationships leading to opportunities to share the gospel. Once a person has made a profession of faith, follow-up includes biblical teaching on the basics of Christian life and the church as well as equipping the new believer to be a disciple-maker. Training continues as we prayerfully equip believers for spirit-filled leadership in the church.

The Need

Although the Kanto region is one of the most populated areas on earth, many people there have never met a Christian, seen a Bible, and do not know about Jesus. Less than three percent of Kanto’s 43 million people claim to be evangelical Christians.

We are looking for teammates with creative ideas, deep relationship-building skills, and perseverance in the face of many trials. ABWE is growing a new team in the Kanto region and is seeking missionaries equipped for disciple-making, ministry to the deaf community, teaching English as a second language, and creative use of all their talents in an urban environment. These valuable skills can build bridges into Japan’s communities. Will you press on toward that goal with us?

The Impact

Use your passion for evangelism and discipleship to make an eternal impact on the mission field. Every ministry we begin, every project we undertake, and every relationship we develop is geared toward sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. However, we know that simply sharing the gospel with someone is only part of our calling as missionaries: we’re also called to walk alongside them and make disciples. If you love Jesus and have a heart for the lost and hurting, then we have a place for you in the heart of Japan.
