Church Planters

The Position

In the ever-expanding city of Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s capital, thousands of people still live in darkness, desperately needing to hear the good news of Jesus Christ. Long-term church planters are needed to help establish a truly indigenous Cambodian church that will bring light to this dark area of the world. Join the ABWE team in building this church from the ground up — through evangelism and discipleship of local Cambodians.

The Need

Cambodia is home to more than 14.5 million Buddhists who believe that karma effectively controls their destiny, and that the ancient ways guide the spiritual powers they encounter on a daily basis. Since the civil wars of the 1970s and 80s, Cambodia has been overrun by various aid organizations and development workers who have only been able to provide physical solutions to deep-seated spiritual issues.

The Impact

ABWE strives to reach Cambodians by implementing strategies that allow us to connect with people on a more personal level, like coffee house ministries and offering courses in English as a second language. Church planters are needed to help us with our goal of initiating church-planting ministries among four people groups in Cambodia.

Help ABWE bring the gospel to the Cambodians.
