Opportunity

Bible/Seminary Professors

The Position

Our team in Lima is in need of a Bible College professor with a specialty or experience in Christian Education and a willingness to grasp the Spanish language and Peruvian culture.

A master's degree or higher is preferred and is required to teach at the graduate level and to train Peruvian professors in this specialty. The Christian Education professor's responsibilities include serving on the faculty of the Baptist Theological Seminary, teaching education courses on an undergraduate level and designing new master level courses. This opportunity also includes teaching and supervising Christian Ed students at local churches and assisting with the design of internet/distance courses.

The Need

The ABWE team in Peru is united with one vision: to plant and equip local churches and ministries with meaningful social and spiritual impact that will intentionally launch church-planting efforts with the ultimate goal of fueling world missions movements for God’s glory.

Our team is strategically located in four of the major cities in Peru: Iquitos (Amazon jungle), Chiclayo (northern coast), Lima (the capital) and Arequipa (southern Andes Mountains). In these four regions we are in proximity to about 40% of Peru’s 30 million people. Our mission field, however, is the entire world.

We need your help to equip generations of biblically-minded Peruvian believers who will not only plant churches and become missionaries around the world, but also generously sustain a global missions movement.

The Impact

Make a large and lasting impact through theological education. Theology can mean life or death for a new church on the mission field. That’s why we need people who are passionate about teaching the theological truths of the Bible to men and women who will lead others into true, saving faith in Jesus Christ — and in Him alone. If you love building up leaders and helping people go deep with our infinite God, then we have a place for you.
