Aviation Student Internship

3 months (flexible)
Dates needed
June-August 2020
The Position

As an aviation intern serving with our Togo team, you will have a front-row seat to seeing how aviation ministry can be used in a third-world country to deliver the hope of the Gospel. While the main focus of this internship will be assisting with flying the plane and all the dynamics that go into aviation ministry, part of the internship also involves being involved in other ministries (lack of planes and fewer flights require you to be flexible and involved in other ministries). These ministries include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintenance on mission properties
  • Evangelism and discipleship
  • Church planting
  • Community Outreach

This internship is restricted to students who are pursuing an aviation degree. Flexibility and willingness to be involved in ministries other than aviation is also a requirement for being selected for this internship.

The Need

Togo is located in West Africa, a geographic area characterized by poor quality of life and little access to the gospel. Muslims are the fastest growing religious group in the country and nearly one-in-three Togolese practice some form of animism. The country has seen little evangelical outreach and maintains one of the highest percentages of un-evangelized local religions in all of Africa.

ABWE began working in the country in 1974 ministering in Togo through the ministries of healthcare and education. Our vibrant ministry outreaches have expanded and now include two hospitals, a school for the visually impaired, an aquaponics farm, a Christian radio station, translation ministries, community health outreach and much more. With so many ministries and so much work to do, we need you in Togo. Will you join us?
