Joining The Movement

As the pastor of a tiny church in a poor region of Brazil, Jenuan never imagined God would use him to launch a global missions movement — where missionaries so inspire other believers with the message of the gospel that they can’t help but carry the Good News to more places and people.

But with God anything is possible.

Jenuan’s church had often prayed for missionaries they knew, but the idea of sending their own missionaries to other countries seemed impossible. Then, 11 years ago, Jenuan was invited to an ABWE missions conference where he realized that Brazilians could, and should, have a role in the Great Commission.

Armed with this vision and aided by ABWE, Jenuan founded Maranatha Multicultural Ministry (MMM), a Brazilian-run mission board that supports and sends Brazilian missionaries around the world — often into places that Americans can’t easily access.

Currently, more than 35 missionaries serve through MMM in 12 countries, where they are discipling believers, planting churches and teaching others about how they, too, can join in the Great Commission.

Because of your generosity, ABWE’s vision to spark global missions movements that extend beyond ourselves — where leaders are trained, mission-minded churches are planted, and believers are compelled to carry the message of Jesus to every nation — is unfolding in real time on four continents through agencies like MMM.

In this season of gratitude, we want to encourage MMM for their faithful service. The mission agency has outgrown its humble headquarters in Jenuan’s small church and God has provided the perfect solution.

Would you join us in encouraging our Brazilian partners as they launch missions movements around the world?
