Medical Missions Trip to Paraguay

March 3-11, 2018

The medical team trip to Paraguay is a wonderful opportunity to be involved in church planting with compassionate ministry. We are partnering with a group of churches with national leadership that is starting new “daughter” works. Some of these new church plants do not even have a building yet, so they use local schools. On this trip, you’ll partner with church planters to conduct clinics and address the physical and spiritual needs of patients.

Team Members Needed

  • 4 to 6 team members total

  • At least 2 doctors

  • At least 1 nurse

  • Other team members do not need to be medical professionals

Trip Description

Each weekday, we will travel to a clinic location where we will be joined by a national team. A key component of each clinic is taking patient histories, which is done in partnership with bilingual nationals. This time of conversation with patients often gives us an opportunity to share the gospel. At the end of each day, we take time to debrief and pray for the next day’s activities.

Project Fee: $1,000

This fee is used to fund all of our expenses on the field: travel, lodging, food, translators, and medicine. In addition, you are responsible for purchasing your own airfare. A non-refundable deposit fee of $100 (which goes toward the project fee total) is payable to ABWE once you are assigned to a team. The balance of the project fee is due to ABWE 30 days prior to departure.

Airfare: $1,100-$1,300

In addition, you are responsible for purchasing your own airfare, which typically ranges from $1100 to $1300. A travel agent’s information will be provided by the team leader to ensure that everyone on the team arrives at the same time in the country of destination. Comprehensive details to prepare for this trip will be communicated by the team leader once each participant has been accepted and assigned to the team.

If you meet our qualifications for short-term team service and are in agreement with ABWE's Doctrinal Statement, please apply here.
