The Position
We are looking for individuals who may or may not have a medical background and who have a desire to share the gospel via medical clinics. The team will be a balance of medical and non-medical personnel. Trip space is limited.
Team Members:
Individuals with or without a medical background. For those with a medical skill, any Primary Care Provider, DRs, NPs, PAs; RNs, LPNs, CNAs; PT; Dietitian; EMT, Paramedic; Chiropractor are welcome to apply.
Ministry Support Funds: $1,650 per participant
Ministry support funds cover all local travel, accommodations, meals, translators and medical supplies used throughout the trip. Instructions on how to submit the funds and the due date will be emailed to the team. These funds may be submitted by the team participant or by others on their behalf.
Airfare: $1,000-$1,500
International airfare varies, ranging from $1,000-$1,500, including taxes. A visa or special vaccinations are not required for entry into Chile. Information from a travel agent will be provided to each team member by the team leader to ensure that we all arrive on the same flight into our area of ministry in Chile.
Miscellaneous Expenses:
All first-time healthcare team trip participants must complete specific online training ($75) and each participant must purchase team specific travel/emergency insurance ($25) through ABWE. Instructions to complete the training and secure insurance will be given once trip assignment has been made. Other miscellaneous expenses may include routine vaccines and/or specific vaccinations dependent on country requirements. Special instructions for Chile will be given to team members by the team leader.
Personal Money
Bring $100 US to use for personal expenses or to purchase gifts. There will be some time scheduled to allow team members to do some tourist shopping while in Chile.
