Past Regional Training Events

FELTS (Far East Leadership Training Seminar): During the March 2006 FELTS in Chiang Mai, Thailand, team leaders from three regions spanning the Asian continent focused on the topic of Situational Leadership – the second in a natural 3-part curriculum trio including the DiSC Personality Profile System, Situational Leadership, and Crucial Conversations. Wayne Haston, Bill Smith, and Dave Southwell served as team teachers during the training module. Each field leader has a preferred style. But the cliché “one size fits all” doesn’t wear well on leaders. Effective leaders are versatile in being able to adapt their leadership style to the situation. Based upon the simple principle of “diagnosis before prescription” the Situational Leadership model equipped the team leaders to more effectively influence others. They discovered there are many ways to be an effective leader; there is no single right way. The seminar equipped the team leaders with skills to identify the needs of their team members, and enabled them to select from a variety of leadership strategies according to the demands of a specific situation in order to increase team productivity.
