Missionary Training at ABWE
Missionary Enrichment Training Institute (ME-TI)
All ABWE missionaries are required to attend the annual Missionary Enrichment (ME) Conference, in July on the campus of Messiah College, during their furloughs (or once every five years). The ME Training Institute (ME-TI) is a vital part of the ME Conference "enrichment" experience.
Each year a diverse menu of practical training modules is offered, from which each ME Conference attendee selects the most appropriate training module for his or her field ministry training needs. He or she then participates in that module throughout the week. Some ME-TI training facilitators are veteran ABWE missionaries but others are chosen from outside of the ABWE team. Sessions are held each morning from 8:30-11:00, which provides time for 12 ½ hours of instruction. Enrollment in each module is limited to 20 participants in order to allow for good intra-group and instructor-participant interactive dynamics. Registration for the ME Modules will be accepted in the following sequence: active career missionaries > pre-field missionaries > retired missionaries.
