Good Soil Evangelism and Discipleship
Good Soil Evangelism and Discipleship (E&D) is a theology of evangelism based upon three distinctive emphases that Jesus made regarding the identification of “good” in His parable of the soils.
Its primary focus is on cross-cultural evangelism and discipleship, in North America or elsewhere around the world, with people who have had little or no exposure to the Bible.
Key Features of Good Soil E&D Training:
- Peeling an unbeliever’s “worldview onion” through redemptive conversations
- Evaluating a person’s position on the Good Soil E&D Scale
- Determining how much gospel content and Biblical context an unbeliever needs
- Penetrating unbiblical worldview noise using the Bible’s Big Story
- Using the Chronological Bridge to Life to help unbelievers embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ
- Discipling new believers through their first steps in following Jesus
