Missionary Training at ABWE

2008 Edge Seminars: General Information

Location

Edge Seminars will be held at the ABWE Administration and Training Center near New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. The check-in process for an Edge Seminar will begin 30 minutes prior to the first session of each seminar. You will receive a nametag which will identify you as a registered attendee.

Daily Schedule

8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.—Morning session
12:30 p.m.–1:30 p.m.—Lunch
1:30 p.m.–5:00 p.m.—Afternoon session

Seminar Fee

Each week of Edge Seminars includes two or three separate seminars and there will be a separate fee associated with each of the seminars.

There is no seminar fee for ABWE Personnel. However, ABWE personnel will need to purchase instructional materials for each seminar that they attend. The instructional materials costs will vary by seminar. These materials can be charged to ABWE missionary accounts.

The seminar fee for non-ABWE personnel includes tuition, lunch, and snacks.  The fee is listed with each seminar. An additional fee for instructional materials per module will be charged, and the cost will vary by seminar.

Accommodations

You will be responsible for arranging your own housing accommodations. To insure the availability of hotel rooms in the area, a block of rooms has been reserved at Best Western Inn & Suites in New Cumberland located at 702 Limekiln Rd. at exit 40-A off I-83. The ABWE 2008 contract rate is $52.00 per night, which includes a continental breakfast. Please make your reservations by April 28, 2008.

There are other motels in the same area that you may want to consider, but we do not have a seminar contract with these motels. Please handle the financial responsibility for your reservations. ABWE personnel may turn their receipts into Missionary Finance for reimbursement.

Child Care

Please note that we can not provide or accommodate child care on site during the Edge seminar.

Meals

Lunch will be provided at the ABWE Home Office for each day you are registered and the cost is included in your seminar fee (free to ABWE personnel). Your name tag will be your ticket for lunch. You will be responsible for your own breakfast and dinner.

A continental breakfast is provided at Best Western Inn & Suites. Several restaurants are within walking distance to the Best Western Inn & Suites.

Transportation

Best Western Inn & Suites does not provide transportation to and from the Harrisburg International Airport. ABWE will not be able to provide airport transportation for these events. Please make all of your own travel plans.
