Missionary Training at ABWE

Beyond Edge

ABWE’s Center for Excellence in International Ministries (CEIM) schedules Edge Seminars annually in mid-May. Additionally, CEIM training seminars are offered in the ABWE Training Center as needed at various times throughout the year.  So as not to confuse these seminars with the regular annual Edge Seminar series, we present them on this page of the CEIM training section of the ABWE website.

2008 Seminars

Good Soil Evangelism & Discipleship (June 16–17 and November 5–6)—Wayne Haston, Dave Southwell, & Ron Berrus

Would you like to know…

• What Good Soil evangelism and discipleship is, as defined by Jesus?
• How to assess the spiritual condition of an unbeliever to whom you are witnessing?
• What keeps unbelievers from clearly understanding the message that you are presenting?
• Where Peter and Paul began in their witness with certain unbelievers and why they began where they did?
• How to systematically proceed from a casual conversation with an unbeliever to an in-depth discussion of his or her worldview beliefs?
• How much Bible content and theological depth is needed to explain the gospel satisfactorily with unbelievers from various backgrounds?
• How effective The Four Spiritual Laws, the Navigator’s Bridge to Life, Evangelism Explosion, and the Roman’s Road are in non-Christian cultures?
• What are some major limitations regarding using The Jesus Film and evangelistic Bible studies from the gospels of Mark or John?
• Some advantages of taking Biblically illiterate unbelievers through a chronological study of God’s redemptive plan?

In this seminar you will…

Seminar Fee: $50 per participant (includes lunch, snacks, and participant instructional materials and other resources)

Good Soil Evangelism & Discipleship Train the Trainer (June 18 and November 7)—Wayne Haston, Dave Southwell, & Ron Berrus

This extra day of training will focus on equipping you to lead Good Soil Evangelism & Discipleship training seminars.
