Non-ABWE Training

The following missionary training and educational organizations are presented here in an effort to direct ABWE pre-field and career missionaries to quality educational and training programs that can supplement or enhance the missionary development programs available through the CEIM. The presence of an organization on this list should not be taken as a blanket endorsement, by ABWE, of every aspect of its programs and affiliations. If you would like further information about the educational or training opportunities available through these organizations, please contact them directly, or contact the CEIM for additional guidance.

Missionary Development Educational Resources

For pre-field or career missionaries who need additional education in Old or New Testament survey, Bible doctrines, Bible study methods, or other missionary preparation courses, we have compiled a list of recommended non-traditional educational sources for you. Please contact us if you know of other evangelical sources of educational resources that meet high standards of academic excellence and doctrinal fidelity.

Worldview Resource Group

The purpose of Worldview Resource Group is to provide equipping, training, and consulting in cross-cultural church planting methodologies with a particular focus on a worldview approach.

Training seminars are conducted in Colorado Springs, and are one to three weeks in length. Worldview Resource Group works in partnership with Mission Training International, also in Colorado Springs. The curriculum addresses cross-cultural church planting methodologies with a focus on worldviews. The curriculum includes the following:

Primitive Religions – Animism; Pre-evangelism; Introduction to Chronological Bible Teaching; Discipleship; New Testament Church; The Developing Church; The Maturing Church; Church Planter’s Tool Kit; Curriculum Development; Contextualization; External Influences; Oral Communication; Worldviews.

Worldview Resource Group is also working to prepare videos and other training materials.
