Dave & Sue Arch
Dave Arch graduated from Grace University (formerly Grace College of the Bible) in 1974 with a B.A. in Pastoral Ministries and was ordained by the Baptist General Conference in 1976.
He was a church-planting pastor early in his ministry and later became a house church pastor. In every role, his ministries have consistently utilized his gift of teaching.
His broad and diverse professional experience includes the following roles:
- Founder of and presenter in The I Can Factory (1984-1997) where he presented inspirational programs to over 200,000 children and youth in public elementary and secondary schools.
- Associate at Midlands Psychological Associates in Council Bluffs (1982-1996) where he worked with Dr. Ron Johnson in providing pastoral counseling for individuals and families.
- Senior Vice President for The Bob Pike Group (1993-2005) a position in which he wrote twelve books and produced three videos to instruct corporate trainers to build higher levels of participation and retention in their training. He is internationally recognized as an authority on effective online training and teaching. As a corporate trainer his clients have included AT&T, McDonald’s, Disney, Tupperware, the United States Central Intelligence Agency, Kimberly-Clark, and Canada Post.
- Founder of the Ask a Pastor online ministry (1997-Present) as an outreach to those who are exploring their faith but don’t have a local church or pastor to whom they can go. He receives and average of six email responses a day through this ministry.
- Founder of the Teaching Like the MasterTM seminar ministry (1997-Present) created to provide resources for those who teach adults in the local church.
- President of Dave Arch and Associates (2005-Present), an authorized licensee of the Sandler Sales Institute, which provides sales training to companies in Nebraska and across the nation.
Dave’s wife, Sue, also has extensive professional experience as a corporate and educational trainer. Sue’s masters degree in education is combined with twenty years of teaching and training experience, both in the church and in the corporate training community. Her corporate clients include Hallmark, Norwest Banks, Good Samaritan Healthcare Systems, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, State Farm Insurance, Sabre, Whirlpool, and the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). A major focus of Sue’s work with The Bob Pike Group was on training teachers in the public schools of Los Angeles.
Dave and Sue have four adult children, Krystal, Melissa, Peggie, and Rick.
Attendance Information
- Location
The Moving Beyond Lecture seminar will be held at the ABWE Administration and Training Center in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. The check-in process will begin 30 minutes prior to the first session of the seminar. You will receive a name tag which will identify you as a registered attendee.
- Schedule
October 25 - 26, 2010
Sessions will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end by 4:00 p.m. each day. Lunch will be provided at noon.- Meals
Lunch will be provided at the ABWE Home Office each day you are registered and the cost is included in your seminar fee. Your name tag will be your ticket for lunch. You will be responsible for your own breakfast and dinner. A continental breakfast voucher will be provided at check-in to the Holiday Inn. Several restaurants are within walking distance.
- Accommodations
You will be responsible for arranging your own housing accommodations. To insure the availability of hotel rooms in the area, a block of rooms has been reserved at Harrisburg Holiday Inn in New Cumberland located at 148 Sheraton Dr. at exit 40-A off I-83. The ABWE 2010 contract rate is $55.00 per night, which includes a continental breakfast. You must call the local Holiday Inn at (717) 774-2721, identify yourself as a participant in the Good Soil E&D Seminar, and give them the ABWE Confirmation Code when you make your reservation. The Confirmation Code will appear on your registration confirmation notice once you submit your registration online. The block of rooms will be released two weeks prior to the training event.
- Transportation
The Holiday Inn does provide transportation to and from the Harrisburg International Airport. Contact them upon your arrival. ABWE will not be able to provide airport transportation for these events. Please make all of your own travel plans.
