Academic Credit Procedures for CEIM Training Through Baptist Bible Graduate School & Seminary – Clarks Summit, PA

ABWE personnel can receive graduate credit for much of the training offered through the Center for Excellence in International Ministries (CEIM). Other CEIM courses will be added to these academics credit offerings, but currently credit can be earned through the following CEIM training courses:

In order to receive academic credit for CEIM training, you must enroll in one of the graduate programs at BBC or BBS or make other appropriate arrangements with them for the establishment of a student academic file.

In certain situations, students enrolled in the Asia Baptist Theological Seminary (ABTS) can receive graduate credit for CEIM training programs.

Master of Ministry
  • 21 credits through BBS
  • 9 credits through CEIM (5 additional hrs. can be taken through CEIM for corresponding courses at BBS = 16 BBS credits & 14 CEIM credits)
  • No tuition for courses taken through CEIM!
Master of Divinity
  • 68 equivalency hours available outside BBS
  • CEIM courses must be equivalent to BBS curriculum
  • No tuition for courses taken through CEIM!

Doctor of Ministry
  • 19 required credits through BBS (including dissertation project)
  • 15 elective credits through CEIM
  • No tuition for courses taken through CEIM!
Master of Arts in Biblical Ministries
  • 15 credits through BBGS (can be taken online)
  • 15 credits through ABWE training dept. (CEIM)
  • No tuition for courses taken through CEIM!

Designed for missionaries, men and women, not needing or pursuring ordination.

BBGS/BBS Tuition

ABWE missionary personnel pay no tuition fees to BBC&S for courses taken through CEIM. ABWE personnel will pay the full and regular tuition rate for BBC/BBS resident courses, modules or distance learning courses.

Course Procedures

  • First: Fill out the “Course Commitment” form in order to express to CEIM’s Director of Academic Studies (John Morgan) your intent to take a course for academic credit. Use the form at the bottom of this page.
  • Second: When you enroll in a CEIM training course, notify the instructor of your desire to take the course for academic credit. Check to be sure that academic credit is being offered for the course in which you are enrolled. You will receive an academic course design document at that time, which will include course objectives, assignments, deadlines, etc.
  • Third: Contact BBGS or BBS to enroll in one of their programs or make other appropriate arrangements with them.
  • Fourth: You will submit your course work to the CEIM instructor, which will be graded by him or her.
  • Fifth: When you complete the course work and all assignments have been graded by the CEIM instructor, the Director of CEIM Academic Studies will notify BBGS or BBS of your grade.
