The Caribbean is one of the most vibrant places on earth and so easy to reach from all of the Americas. The colorful cultures and seeming relaxed lifestyles advertised by the tourist industry might lead one to forget that these easy-going people also need the gospel. There are many wonderful Christians on these islands that desire to reach their own people with the redeeming message of Christ as well as send their own missionaries back to the countries that originally colonized them as well as other places around the world. The purpose of ABWE is to partner with these committed Christians to help them win their islands for Christ, make disciples, train leaders and plant churches as well as thrust out missionaries.
Central America and Mexico have also enjoyed the impact of biblical influences for many generations. ABWE missionaries have studied Spanish in the Central American countries for years in preparation for service in South America. However, the affection of our missionaries for these loving people finally drew veteran missionaries to return to these colorful countries to serve with their families. Recently, ABWE has seen an influx of young missionary families and singles coming into the region to help build on the foundation that has already been laid by those who have gone before. Just as in the Caribbean, our purpose is to establish new church plants while partnering with committed Christians who want to have a greater impact in carrying out the Great Commission before the return of Christ for His Church.
