The Peru Field Team currently consists of five branch areas: Arequipa, Chiclayo, Ica, Lima, Upper Amazon.
There is a need for missionary personnel to partner with local leaders in the great endeavor of church planting and strengthening with the goal of helping Peru become an epicenter for world missions. The End Vision is to promote, foster, facilitate and participate through partnering in local and regional church planting that leads to church planting movements that lead to worldwide missions movements for the glory of God. (CP>CPM>MM>GG)
Some common ways to plant churches are through:
- pioneering (working with national leaders to birth new churches where there are none)
- parenting (mother churches starting daughter churches)
- partnering (two or more churches working together to birth a new church)
- restoration (coming along side a church that needs to be restored and strengthened)
Our philosophy includes:
- Engage in these church planting endeavors, working with or under local leaders. The foreign missionary in many cases need not be the lead pastor.
- Work in teams/partnerships with other missionaries and local fellowships - not work in isolation or “silos.”
- Promote the above-mentioned End Vision - all ministries are evaluated in light of their contribution to the End Vision.
- Choose culturally relevant models and methods to achieve the End Vision - use culturally correct ecosystem methodology.
- Concentrate on mentoring, teaching and training local believers and leaders - train in a relevant and contextualized fashion, focusing on investing in others and passing the baton to new leaders.
