World Changing Families
One of the best-known verses in the Bible is John 3:16.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Families that take this beloved verse seriously should consider praying for the people of the world on a daily basis. Just as our Father has loved, we should teach our children the importance of loving all the people of the world. As a parent, you can set a faithful example by taking time every day to pray with your children for all of God’s people.
There are approximately 200 countries in the world and thousands of people groups. In about seven months, you and your family could pray for all the countries of the world.
Here is how:
- Get a map of the world.
- If possible, gather some facts about each country.
- Have family devotions together sometime during the day and discuss your prayer country.
- Pray for that country and the people of that country. Pray that those whom God loves would hear the wonderful good news that Jesus Christ loves them, died for them, rose again for them, and has sought to redeem them from sin.
Your family can become a world-changing family as you pray together for God to draw His people to Him!
Use this journal as a resource for daily prayer. Each month is focused on a region of the world or aspect of sending and supporting mission work.
