Kelli (Carole) Thayer
- Kelli Thayer is grateful for the arrival of two new missionary colleagues. Melissa Friesen is a career missionary who arrived in Togo a couple of weeks ago. She is presently living in Lome where she will be learning French. Eventually she will be serving the Lord in Mango as a nurse practitioner. Kelly Faber will be in Togo for two years as she does a fellowship in pediatrics.
- Pray for Adjo, an African friend who has been going through a time of serious testing for what seems like a long time. Her mother, a believer, was a huge support to Adjo, but she was hit by a motorcycle up in Mango. She was selling on the roadside and stepped from behind a truck into the path of the motorcycle. The funeral was last Saturday at a village near Kara.

- Russ’s kidney test came back at an acceptable level. His lab work will be repeated in July. If the results remain where they are at present, the nephrologist will recommend that they can return to Togo in September.
- Melody will also be taking a course in teaching children the Good Soil program during the summer. Pray for decisions regarding her children’s’ ministry in Togo.
- They will be packing another 40-foot container during the summer, which will be predominantly medical equipment and supplies.

- She is grateful for the sale of her mother’s house and the fine care she is receiving from her sister and brother-in-law. They need to find a place large enough for the three of them since they will need to move by October of this year.
- Sharon returns to Togo on April 25.

- Kelli received a gift to help her upgrade the electricity in her home in Mango.

Peter and Janice Maybury
- Pray for consistent attendance at the kids club so they can teach the Bible background for a thorough understanding of the gospel. Most of the kids have missed half of the lessons. One of their greatest difficulties is teaching the Old Testament stories when the Old Testament has not yet been translated into the local language. The same people, who helped translate the Anufo New Testament, are now looking at starting the Old Testament translation project. This could take 20 years, but it is greatly needed.
- Peter has continued to do Bible studies in Tchanaga and Akposou each week. He has also started some literacy training in Tchanaga. They hope to be able to do some leadership training in each location in the future so that local congregations can be formed.

Amanda Magnuson
- Amanda Magnuson (four months short-term) arrived in Togo last week to serve alongside the ABWE medical missionary. This is Amanda’s second short-term ministry in Togo.
- The southern team has several colleagues in the states for personal medical needs and the hospital ministry has a great number of short-termers serving and arriving over the summer months.
- Several short-termers are considering career ministry. Pray they clearly see the need and how they can serve into the future.

Harry and Bea Ward
- Plans are being discussed to add a junior high to one of the Christian elementary schools. They are hoping that La Lumiere will be a model for others. Bea’s role will be to study academic curriculums and propose a Bible curriculum. Pray for the finances to begin this new school and that they will be able to find the right teachers.
