Sue Farley
- Harmony Baptist Church marked its fifth anniversary on April 28. They hope to rent some office space in their building so that the office on their floor can be opened up, making more seating space.
- The Hartwicks will be leaving for their summer furlough soon, so CBTC (China Baptist Theological College) student, Matt Wong, and his wife, Mandy, will be helping out over the summer. Preaching in English is a relatively new experience for Matt. Matt and Mandy hope to become missionaries in Japan after graduation.
- Sue will coordinate the SAT and AP exams at International Christian School this month. The week of May 21-25 the students will be involved in service projects.

Dave and Peggy Pardini
- Dave and Peggy Pardini’s son, Stephen, and his finance, Danica, are preparing for a May 12 wedding in Irvine, Calif. The Pardinis will make a one-week trip to attend the wedding.
- Peggy’s weekly Thursday morning English class for China Baptist Theological College students is well into the second semester and going strong. The class of nine students has enjoyed using The Story of Hope as a study tool for learning biblical names and terms in English, so that they can more comfortably use their second language to share their faith with others.
- Dave shared his testimony in Cantonese at CBTC Recruitment Day last week for seven prospective students. They are praying that the Lord will give them nine new students for the fall semester.

Chris and Maylin Hartwick
- On March 25, the Hartwicks’ church participated in a carnival at a park where they had an opportunity to join other churches and organizations reaching out to southeast Asians. One of the ways they attract people to their tracts and information about their church is by using a photo booth. They have various backgrounds from different countries and invite people to put on costumes and have their picture taken in front of these backgrounds. They passed out tracts and Chris was asked to share the gospel message for the day.
- The moms and children outreach has grown. Because they have more help, they also have a children’s cantonese on class on Sunday afternoons after the English class.
- Nail, a Nepali boy who attends Kids’ Club, needs prayer for protection. His parents are both drug addicts and Nail is free to roam the streets and is under the influence of a pre-teen gang in the neighborhood.
