Church growth in paraguay
Scott and Dani DeWitt serve the Lord in Paraguay, and the Lord has given them the opportunity to pastor a church in the outskirts of Asuncion. This church has a long history, and at the present time, Scott is preaching and working to build the church back up. He recently preached a series on the church and on practical evangelism that has sparked great encouragement and growth. One Sunday afternoon, 150 people attended a children’s day celebration and several new contacts were made. They recently had record attendance in Sunday School and a worship service for which they had to set up many extra chairs.
Scott says, “What is so great about what is going on is that we really haven’t changed anything. We haven’t started new programs. The worship service and educational classes are the same. The people are a little dumbfounded because there is only one answer. God, for reasons that please Him, has reignited the ministry, and because it is not based on some new program, He is receiving all of the glory, and we are just along for the ride. I don’t know if you have ever been a part of something like that, but it is fun to watch God do things that we could never do on our own.”
Please pray for Scott and Dani DeWitt and the family as they continue to serve God in Asuncion, Paraguay. Pray for the church and for leadership, a future pastor, continued growth, and that Christ would continue to be glorified.
