Myanmar Report—Update from our national partner in Yangon

Gifts from churches and individuals enabled ABWE to send nearly $70,000 to our partners in Myanmar, with more to follow in a few days. Here is their report on first relief efforts:
"Even though national and international help has been pouring in, we are told that only one-fourth of the victims have been reached with this assistance. Many of the most effected villages and towns have not been reached due to transportation difficulties. For our part, we have assisted our Christian brothers in Yangon area, but have been able to do very little for the non-Christians. We pray that more help will come so that we can help and minister to everyone not just in Yangon area, but also in the delta area as well. The pastors who returned from that area reported to us many possible opportunities to share Christ's love. Please continue to pray for us."
"So far, we helped to rebuild 22 houses, 2 church buildings and 2 Bible college buildings. We provided basic commodities such as rice, cooking oil, beans, candles, etc to some 40 families. The need is so great, so it is sometimes even hard to decide who should be given priority. In any case, the response to this help has been overwhelming. Actions really speak louder than words especially in this particular situation. Please convey our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has a part in this project."
