Cornerstone University Honors Jay Walsh

At their recent 2006 commencement service, Cornerstone University honored Jay Walsh as an exemplary alumnus. President Rex M. Rogers presented him with an honorary Dr. of Divinity for his oustanding contribution of several decades of faithful Christian service. Dr. Walsh is a graduate of Grand Rapids Baptist Bible College and Seminary (now Cornerstone University), and six of his seven children also graduated from Cornerstone. He helped start two churches while studying at the seminary, and he and his wife Eleanor faithfully served as a missionary in Bangladesh for 38 years.

We praise the Lord for Dr. Walsh and his example of service for the kingdom.
