Reaching the Children of Phoenix, South Africa

In Phoenix, it’s crucial that children are reached with the gospel and integrated into the church community at an early age. Drug and alcohol addiction are endemic to the community. Teen pregnancy and promiscuity are life threatening in a country where 5.4 million people are HIV Positive.

The Pheonix Fellowship has inaugurated two new ministry teams. Joshua Ausfahl (ABWE) has organized and trained a Youth Leaders Ministry Team that is committed to reaching and discipling youth. Over the last year, as they were in formation, the team saw much growth in their senior youth program.

A Children’s Ministry Team has also formed to touch the lives of children in Pheonix. Bo Varadarajulu heads up this large group of committed workers. They have mapped out a creative and exciting ministry plan for the year. Pray for them. They are organizing a number of outreaches and we would love to see fruit from their efforts.

Please pray that God will bless the activities of these new ministry teams, and that we will see a number of children and teens saved and mentored in the life skills they may not get anywhere else.
