Origins and Ends: Tracking ABWE Missionaries and Missions Movements

The mission of ABWE: To facilitate global partnership between churches and missionaries so that world evangelism would result in church planting movements that launch missions movements for God’s glory.

During 2007…

  • ABWE missionaries presented the gospel in a culturally appropriate way—112,694 times. That means that every 5 minutes someone heard the gospel from an ABWE missionary last year.
  • ABWE missionaries planted 28 churches, with another 279 churches planted though teamwork with ABWE national partners, for a total of 307 new church plants. In the past several years we have seen over 4,251 new churches planted worldwide.
  • Sixty-five of ABWE’s partner mission agencies outside the U.S. and Canada sent out 575 national missionaries that further extend the reach of the gospel.

“The end vision of missions is not the addition of new converts but rather the multiplication of new missionaries.” —M. Loftis
