Four members of the ABWE family passed on to glory this week. Please join us in praying for their friends and family as they mourn the loss of these wonderful servants of God.
Ruth Large Rife
Ruth Large Rife passed away Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, with sons Stephen and Andy by her side. Stephen is an ABWE board member and Andy is an ABWE missionary to Nicaragua. Ruth is also survived by her son, Paul.
Funeral services will be held at Southside Baptist Church, 379 S. Commerce Ave., Sebring, Fla. 33876. The family will be receiving friends from 10-11 a.m. Services will be held 11 a.m.-12 noon, with the internment immediately following. After the graveside service, a dinner is being provided at the church. The church can be reached at 863-385-0753
John Barram
John Barram, former ABWE missionary to Brazil and Portugal, passed away peacefully at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012.
The Barrams served as short-term missionaries with ABWE in both Brazil and Portugal. They served as house parents at the ABWE MK house in Fortaleza. In addition, the Barrams helped launch the Greater Lisbon Christian Academy and raised great portion of the money to purchase the present LTC property on "the hill" in Portugal. John most recently spent several months in Chile at Santiago Christian Academy during a great need there.
Frank Jertberg
Frank Jertberg, former ABWE missionary to Brazil, passed on to glory at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at the Oak Ridge Nursing Facility in Lakeland Fla. Tom Jertberg indicated that all the family members were present as Frank quietly exited this earth after suffering a case of pneumonia.
The viewing will be on Friday evening, Feb. 17 and again on Saturday morning, Feb. 18, with the memorial service at 11 a.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church, 4625 Cleveland Heights Blvd., Lakeland, Fla., 33813.

Clint Bonnell
Clint Bonnell went home to be with the Lord Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012. Clint and his wife Dotty served as ABWE missionaries in the Philippines for eight years until 1967. Their ministry included church planting, discipleship, teaching, mentoring and serving as houseparents to children of other missionaries at Faith Academy in Manila.
