A Life ChangedDan and Diana Richner

Brazil —

Recently our church family was invited to sing, give testimonies, and share the message of hope at a drug rehab facility. I found myself sitting next to Marcelo and he began to tell me that less than 2-months ago he was scheduled to be a part of the rehab program at that facility. He said his wife was in the very deepest of pits and didn’t want to live with him any longer because he was using drugs. They were fighting all the time and he didn’t know what to do.

Then he started attending our church. I had no idea of their spiritual condition. I just knew they were both very attentive to the preaching of the Word. He told me he now believes in Christ as his Savior and God is changing his life completely; both he and his wife are different people.

During the evening service Marcelo’s son, Guilherme, told us that before his parents started coming to our church they were always fighting. But now, he confided, things were completely different. Guilherme says his parents can’t wait for the next church service. “They have never been a part of anything like this before.”
