Before they depart for the field, new missionaries set out to gather support for their ministries in the years to come. You can imagine how daunting gathering financial partners might seem at a time when economic conditions are uncertain.
Please consider two ways in which you can be an encouragement in the process.
Support ABWE’s Prefield Encouragement Fund: ABWE’s Prefield Encouragement Fund has enabled ABWE to assist new missionaries when special needs arise as they work at raising support. From emergency car repair to medical needs, the fund has been used to help new missionaries, especially those who have had to quit their jobs to pursue raising support full-time and don’t have enough support to draw full missionary salaries. Your special gift or ongoing support for the Prefield Encouragement Fund will allow us to bless some of the nearly 200 missionaries who are currently in the process of raising prayer and financial support.
Consider Becoming a Partner: Because you already know the joy this partnership brings to your gospel outreach as an individual or church body, please consider partnering with one of these new missionaries. While you may not be able to add another missionary to your budget, you can partner in prayer and encouragement. Use this list to share the need with your friends and family and to pray for each individual, couple, or family.
