The Church ministry team includes 2 national pastors working along side of 2 ABWE missionaries as a catalyst to start daughter churches in Chile and to equip Chilean missionaries to be sent out. New Life Baptist Church is a missionary-minded church, is now 13 years old and is supporting its own national pastor. NLBC is located in a university section of the city, from which major outreach will be done to the student population. In addition, there have been over 20,000 new apartments and units built in the vicinity of the church, opening up a wonderful door of opportunity.
The property was purchased in January 2007 (9,900 sq. ft.) in the prime center-city neighborhood. Construction work has been underway since October 2008 with a national general contractor in charge of the steel/concrete shell. The Construction includes an auditorium for:
- 400 people
- 14 classrooms (6 in a second module)
- 6 offices
- a large kitchen for events and meals
- underground parking
- small elevator
Work teams are needed for the winter of 2011-2012, between November and March, and also from April to May of 2012. Groups or churches interested should contact Mr. David Manore at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). We also invite retirees who are willing to come for a month or two and stay to work on the building doing finishing.
The New Life Baptist Church continues to rent other facilities but even with 2 locations rented, the ministry is severely limited. The pressing need is to get into and begin occupying the new building. Please consider giving to help complete the project.
After four and a half years of not having its own place to meet, the New Life Baptist Church is now within reach of requesting and obtaining an Occupancy Permit. The Crucial need now is to Complete those areas of the building that will enable the Church to move in. To prevent the church from losing its ministry effectiveness, we ask you to seriously pray and consider giving a generous gift to help us begin serving and touching lives through the new ministry center.
