A growing part of the typical portfolio recommendation by financial experts includes investments outside the US. Many mutual funds specialize in regions of the world or even specific nations. You can have shares in a “Brazil Fund” or “Japan Fund” as easily as any domestic fund.
Your investment with ABWE probably targets a nation or region because the missionary or project you support engages in ministry activities there. Your investment bears eternal fruit, and our “international fund” has experienced great returns. Dr. Loftis called attention to the 439 missionaries sent out by partnering missions last year, reflecting the Multiplying Missions Movements part of our vision. This number has grown each year. These fledgling mission agencies have benefited by our help in many ways. We assist in presenting their work to churches and donors in the US who wish to support ministries like theirs. We receive and pass on such support to assist the supporting churches with the unique aspects of international transactions. We provide supporting individuals with a qualified tax deductible receipt. (Gifts made directly to foreign charities are not deductible.)
ABWE provides these services to our mission partners without fees. In addition, we have raised funds to provide special needs from time to time. Perhaps you could help us serve these partners better.
