Children are the world’s most at-risk citizens. During wars, earthquakes, famines, and epidemics, they suffer most. They are unable to defend or protect themselves. Yet God loves them dearly and commands us to care for them.
Care for the Children is focused on ministering to children by:
- sharing the Good News of Jesus so children can have eternal life.
- meeting children’s practical needs—physical, medical, emotional, educational.
- rescuing children at risk of trauma and death.
ABWE missionaries minister to:
- orphans and very poor children in Haiti.
- orphans in Asia.
- child victims of human trafficking in Moldova, Turkey, and Thailand.
- street children in Brazil.
- war orphans in Eastern Europe.
- sick children in Togo and the Gambia.
- orphans and street children needing education in Bangladesh, Cambodia, and Liberia.
- children affected by AIDS in Africa.
- child victims of the 2004 tsunami.
Through various ministries, your gifts have made it possible for ABWE to lovingly care for the “least of these.” Through Care for the Children, those who love children can make one-time or regular gifts to the fund and know that their gifts will be applied in the wisest and most compassionate manner by the fund administrators. Maintaining a separate fund and regular supporters will enable ABWE to seize new opportunities and meet special needs as they arise.
