Partner Update, August 2010From Here to the Ends of the Earth

Dr. Michael Loftis, ABWE President

These days the hallways of our office are filled with excitement as new missionary candidates join our staff for orientation and training.  We are thankful for the leading of God in their lives to bring them our way as they prepare to go from here to the ends of the earth with the Gospel message.

They have just begun to experience a few of the changes that are part of the molding process which the Lord uses to shape His choice servants.  Additionally, they are starting to get acquainted with some of God’s faithful laborers who carry out a vital part of the worldwide ministry while sitting at their desks here at the ABWE Home Office.

These dedicated colleagues of ours are not as visible as the missionaries who work on the “front lines” in faraway places, but their role as supporters and facilitators and teachers and prayer warriors is just as critical to the continuing thrust of church planting and discipleship.

Recent reports from our Home Office leadership have given us fresh reminders to rejoice in the ways God is answering your prayers:

  • The Mobilization Department now includes 2 student recruiters.
  • The Training Division is developing new “Roots of Faith” classes to be offered to new missionaries and to local churches in 2011.
  • The Global Operations Team announced the appointment of 3 new regional administrators for assisting expanding field teams.
  • Telephone services are being refined and updated.
  • Dr. Tim Hepworth has been appointed as the new Medical Director.
  • Giving for 2010 has shown a significant increase over 2009.

Praise the Lord with us for these and many more remarkable blessings which have come about because you are faithfully standing with us in prayer.

We thank God for you and your caring partnership with ABWE missionaries who are going “from every nation to every nation” with the love of Christ and the hope of eternal life.
