Suppose there was a way to not only guarantee your investment funds, but that gains would never stop compounding for all eternity?  It stands to reason that whoever could make that kind of guarantee would be deluged with requests for financial advice.

Around 2,000 years ago, Jesus spoke these words, “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal” (Matthew 6:19-20).

Jesus was explaining to people exactly how to use their resources in a way that would guarantee eternal returns without fear of losses.  So why aren’t more people flocking to Jesus for investment advice?  Good question.

As we seek to obey Jesus’ command, our global vision at ABWE is to evangelize and make disciples everywhere resulting in national church-planting movements and multiplying missions movements from every nation to every nation to the glory of God!

Thank you for praying and giving to help make that vision possible. Your partnership with ABWE around the world has directly resulted in the following returns to your spiritual portfolio:

• ABWE’s missionaries presented the gospel 95,500 times to men, women, and children.  This means the gospel was presented approximately every five minutes, 24 hours a day, last year.
• Approximately 150 new churches were planted around the world—one almost every two days—bringing the total of new churches planted to more than 4,500 outside the United States.
• ABWE worked alongside our local partners to operate 110 ministry training programs for 12,984 students. Our 59 international partner agencies sent out an additional 439 missionaries.

As you can clearly see, ABWE’s vision of launching missions movements from every nation to every nation is becoming a reality.  In other words, your spiritual investment is growing exponentially.  How is this possible in the midst of such an economic downturn?  Throughout its history, ABWE has continued to grow in obedience to Christ’s command—even during the Great Depression, wars, and recessions. Amazingly, through it all, ABWE has remained debt free.

This has been possible because God’s people have determined to disregard the speculations of short-term advisors, and follow the financial principles of Jesus instead.  Imagine how our perspective on earthly investments will change when viewed from the other side of eternity!

The Bible indicates that the longer we live in our heavenly home, the more insignificant will be our short-term investments in this life.
