Planned GivingFlexible Charitable Gift Annuity
The ABWE flexible charitable gift annuity is similar to the traditional ABWE charitable gift annuity with one exception; it offers more flexibility. This plan allows you to pick a tentative future date to receive income. It then gives you the chance to defer that income to a later date, should you decide.
For example: Bill and Mary Smith, ages 55, make a gift to ABWE in exchange for a flexible charitable gift annuity. They decide that they want to receive income from the annuity when they turn 65. When they are 64-years-old, however, if Bill decides he wants to continue working for several more years, the Smith’s can defer the income until a later date.
This is one example of how ABWE’s flexible charitable gift annuity acts as a wonderful supplemental retirement plan.
Note: Charitable gift annuities are not approved in every state.
