Why PreAMP?

ABWE's Center for Excellence in International Ministries (CEIM) has designed an annual training module (PreAMP) specifically for the Assistant Missionary Program (AMP) during the ABWE Missionary Enrichment (ME) Conference. PreAMP lays a foundation for success in overseas ministry.

1. You will learn practical information that will help you to prepare for and adjust to a foreign culture, language, and various aspects of missionary ministry.
2. You will have an opportunity to mix and mingle with many ABWE veteran missionaries and career missions pre-fielders, who will also be attending the ABWE Missionary Enrichment Conference at Messiah College at the same time that you will be in the PreAMP program.

You will intermingle and interact with pre-field and veteran missionaries from around the world, and become assimilated into the ABWE Family. You will probably have the opportunity to meet and get to know team members from your field of ministry.
	You will attend “ABWE Today ” and learn about ABWE personnel and ministries worldwide. You will attend the evening services of the ME Conference and enjoy the music ministry of ABWE missionaries and the spiritual exhortations presented to the ABWE Family.

Personal Issues: How to manage your finances Security concerns & how to handle them How to prepare to live overseas Health issues and how to prepare yourself for them	Cultural Issues: How to adjust to a new culture How to overcome cultural barriers in personal evangelism How to resolve common ethical dilemmas
Relationship Issues: How to understand yourself & your team members How to relate (as a missionary) to national believers Language Learning Issues: How to use simple language-learning techniques to acquire a foreign language
