- Bulletin information and downloads from web site
- Provide Conference Speakers and Pulpit supply
- Prayer Guide: Praying around the ABWE World information via e-mail at: abweprayer@citynet.net
- Regional Pastors Meetings
- Missionary Accountability Reports
- Provide a spiritual caring ministry to all short term, career, retired missionaries, and MK’s
- Mission News Updates via [www.abwe.org] and MNN
- Provide system of accountability: missionary to missionary/ missionary to Home Office/ Missionary to sending church/ Home Office to missionary and sending church
- Screen applicants for ministry, preparedness, adaptability
- Assist local churches in raising up missionaries and helping them to know where they best fit into God’s plan for reaching our world
- Promote missionary ministry in North America through literature, web, multi-media, conference planning, speakers, etc
- Provide accountability for support of national ministries through GAP
- “Tentmaking” ministry opportunities in “closed” countries [WIN]
Serve the Missionary:
Missionary Administration:
- Establish and implement a strategic planning process both corporately and world wide
- Electronic Giving via web site
- Missionary Needs Assessment and updates
- Maintain continuity on the field with missionary and national leadership
- Establish working and legal relations with foreign governments
- Provide crises management
- Seek to develop missionary teams that are compatible in personality and gifts
- Provide technical support such as: medical, aviation, computer network, construction, communication, counseling, shipping, education
- Develop and maintain a volunteer network for our missionary and Home Office family
- Manage health insurance, life insurance for missionary family
- Provide retirement program for missionary family
- Financial clearing house for supporting churches in receiving and disbursing missionary funds
- US personal income tax service for overseas missionaries
- File health insurance claims
- Determine cost of living worldwide
- Legal support team in matters of: tax deductibility, social security, disability, etc
Missionary Care:
- Missionary Enrichment Conference
- Debriefing of missionary after term of service
- Missionary Care Division providing Personal Spiritual Encouragement For Pre-Fielders/ Singles/ Retirees/ MK’s/ Debriefing/ Crisis Care
Including: Regular visits with Field Administrator on the field [These are experienced missionary colleagues]
Periodic provision of spiritual literature to encourage the missionary’s walk with the Lord
Plus regular communication via: phone, personal visits, e mail, letters, etc - Assist pre-field missionaries in raising prayer and financial support
