Church Connections
Pastor's Consultation Information
A recent survey indicated that the American church might be losing its focus for global evangelism. Some leaders perceive missions as too costly for the church to continue sending and supporting overseas missionaries.
Some have expressed concern about a lack of long-term commitment to the missionary challenge. As a mission agency, working with its third generation of missionaries, we are concerned that we address the true missionary issues of our times. We want to be sure that the approaches we use are the ones best suited to reach the cultures of today. To date over 700 pastors have participated in these challenging world missions consultations. The feedback from pastors who have attended these four-day sessions indicates that it was also a useful time for them.
We are inviting pastors from across the United States and Canada to sit in counsel with us at the ABWE International Administration and Training Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Pastors Consultations are scheduled for October 7–10, 2008, April 21–24, 2009, and October 13–16, 2009. Contact E.C. Haskell for more information.
