Church Connections

ABWE serves thousands of churches in the global task of sending and equipping missionaries. This is a crucial partnership for the success of missionary efforts around the world. ABWE strives to provide resources and encouragement to churches as they challenge their people to involvement in missions. The "senders" are just as important as the "goers" in the Great Commission task.

Global Strategy

Churches in North America and churches planted by ABWE missionaries around the world must learn to plant other churches. That is the Biblical pattern. Paul also encouraged Timothy to entrust the gospel to faithful men who would teach others also. Every church must not only seek to plant daughter churches but must become a missionary-sending church.

How can we promote this church-planting and missionary-sending strategy? Time is short and we must accelerate and multiply our mission efforts both here in North America and around the world. We must have churches with a global strategy.

“Missions is not the ultimate goal of the church—worship is. Missions exists because worship doesn’t. Worship is ultimate, not missions, because God is ultimate, not man. When this age is over, and the countless millions of the redeemed fall on their faces before the throne of God, missions will be no more. It is a temporary necessity. But worship abides forever…” John Piper in “Let the Nations Be Glad.

We are praying that every church will be planting other churches and sending missionaries to the ends of the earth. “Pray you therefore the Lord of the harvest to send forth laborers” (Luke 10:2).
