The Game Was Worth the Candle (DVD)
This video tells the story of the birth of ABWE. In 1948, ABWE’s founder, Dr. R.C. Thomas, wrote in his autobiography that “the game was worth the candle”; a phrase summarizing his more than 40 years of missionary service. Despite many trials and sorrows, he wrote that “given the chance I would do it over again.” Past presidents, Harold Commons and Wendell Kempton, reminisce about God’s faithfulness through the years. Includes rare film footage and photos of early ABWE missionaries. This program was produced on the occasion of ABWE’s 75th anniversary. (Running time: 25 minutes)
